Planning is easy – it takes no resources.

If you sit around and dream all day, that is all that will get done. Dreaming is an action, but if you really want something, you have to do more than just visualize it; you have to put forth some physical action (in other words, more resources than just thinking), even if it’s just baby steps.

Rockers know it takes elbow grease to lubricate the gears of the universe. Without that, there will be no tangible results. But you have to be willing to give up resources to move in the direction of what you want. Otherwise you’re just dreaming.

In Fullmetal Alchemist, this is called the Law of Equivalent Exchange.

So, if you want results with what you’re doing, make sure that you’re making plans and adding the necessary elbow grease.
